The tier summary relates your storage tiers to your business units. It allows you to see how customers, usually internal customers, are consuming storage across your tiers.

Field Name

What It Means

Customer Name

Name of the consumer of storage. This can be an internal department or an external partner.

Tier 1

The amount of Tier 1 space used by that customer. Tier 1 is your fastest, most performant, and usually most expensive storage asset tier.

Tier 1 ($)

Based on your cost per gigabyte settings this column computes the cost of the tier 1 used storage for this customer.

Tier 2

The amount of Tier 2 space used by that customer. Tier 2 is your middling level of cost, capacity and performance.

Tier 2 ($)

Based on your cost per gigabyte settings this column computes the cost of the tier 2 used storage for this customer.

Tier 3

This is the amount of Tier 3 space used by that customer. Tier 3 is your least expensive and least performant storage asset class.

Tier 3 ($)

Based on your cost per gigabyte settings this column computes the cost of the tier 3 used storage for this customer.

Total ($)

The total cost for this customer across all three tiers.
